"A way of living and being"

Colour Dynamic Training

This two-year training programme in 4 Modules will offer you the chance to experience the true spirit of colour; it will be a journey of discovery into uncharted waters of new and exciting ways of healing and working with the Soul. This course may just change your life, forever!

Colour is a gentle, non-intrusive way of bringing mind, body, and spirit back into wholeness. When we experience ill health, stress and other debilitating situations, we start the downward spiral of becoming victims of what life throws at us. Each part of the body has a story to tell: if we hold onto tension, past emotion and out-dated beliefs, we can find them lurking in the shadows of ill health. Each colour we surround ourselves with tells a further story of how we feel about life, and about the things and people within it. This two-year training will offer great insight into the magical world of colour and how to use this gift of the universe to heal the self and others.

Year 1 – Physician heal and know thyself
Preparation of the student – The first year introduces the student to the silent yet powerful language of colour. This first year is very much preparation of the student, where we will explore and journey together to discover the meaning of colour. The student will experience and begin to understand the true healing potential of colour through his/her own personal development work on this course. We will bring the colours to life through drama and movement, mask making and storytelling. As we journey deeper we will meet, work with and learn how to integrate the shadows of colour, for it is these colours that very often hold a great deal of information and treasure in the path of self-knowledge.
As the student develops, we will begin developing tools of colour for working with misplaced energies and attachments. The student will learn how to create and move through psychic space to heal memories of the past, whether from this life or others, using colour and the physical body. On our journey, we will meet and make allies with our colour ancestors, and learn how to free ourselves and others from limiting beliefs inherited family patterns and controlled social conditioning.

Students will learn how to create their own colour divination tool, and learn how to interpret the colour energy of a person’s name – this being the fundamental core of the Colour Dynamic method of healing. There will be continuous assessment throughout this year through personal supervision and written assignments.

Year 2 - Colour for Life
In the second year we continue to expand our knowledge of colour through our own personal inner development and during this year, we start to turn our attention outward and begin to build on and strengthen our ability to work with others. We will explore: for example, why is it that some people heal and others do not; what it means to be a true healer/therapist and how not to get caught up in the ‘drama triangle’. The student will learn how to create sacred space for healing, conducting a session and knowing when to refer a client to someone else. Together we will create and work with our codes of practice, which will include written reports, confidentiality and seeking support for ourselves, as well as personal energy protection, safety procedures and how to deal with difficult clients.

During the second year, students will be encouraged to seek and find their own way of working with the Colour for Life method. Individuals will be given as much help and guidance as possible in finding their uniqueness - we aim to empower individuals and not create replicas.

The student will be supervised during three healing sessions and must have completed six case studies (which must be at least three sessions each). During the two-year course, students will be required to produce a personally selected colour project. The project can cover any aspect of colour; it could be connected to healing, environment, psychology, drama etc. The project must be a minimum of 6000 words and individual support will be offered to all.
The colour project, case studies and on-going supervision all combine together to give the student Practitioner status of the Colour Dynamic method. The student will from then on be recognised as a graduate and Practitioner; he/she will be registered on the Colour for Life website and will become a member of Colour for Life. Graduates will receive twice-yearly newsletters keeping them informed of developments in the colour world, and news from around the world from other Practitioners. To remain registered with Colour for Life, graduates are required to attend an update course every 2 to 3 years (location permitting).

The standard programme is made up of four 5-day retreats, or 10 weekends (only in Spain and Portugal) taken over a two-year period. New courses in different locations around the world are being planned all the time, therefore for greater flexibility; Modules may also be integrated over a longer period of time at any of these locations as they become available. These 5-day retreats may also be taken individually solely for personal development.

At Colour for Life, we believe the training programme offers exactly that, Colour for Life. I look forward to welcoming you to one of our exciting and challenging programmes.
